About choosing the “shaman’s hand” petroglyph for a logo. The hand is universally symbolic of peace, strength, and friendship. It also represents a warm and inviting welcome. I approach my work from this place.
About my background. I started my company in 1984 providing process control and manufacturing automation services. I’ve worked with wonderful people at some very large organizations.
In the mid-1990s I started focusing on understanding and improving my interpersonal skills. I met Jerry Weinberg, attended Problem Solving Leadership, Congruent Change Workshop, and in 1998 was part of the year-long Software Engineering Management class. That’s where I met Steve Smith and Johanna Rothman, two of my AYE co-hosts.
